As we enter the post-genomic era, the field of molecular medicine continues to expand and we are making a significant change in the way we approach healthcare. Future success depends upon new knowledge, new tools for investigation and therapies tailor-made to the individual. This exciting advancement will enable physicians to prevent and cure sickness by treating the process of the disease itself rather than the symptoms.
The MSc in Molecular Medicine will provide you with an advanced understanding of how to apply both molecular and cell biology to the study, diagnosis and prevention of disease.
Our integrated approach to the teaching of molecular medicine puts science into context. The course is delivered by leading academics who have close professional contact with industry specialists. It consists of ten modules and a four-month research project which will include a placement in industry, enabling the student to make contact with potential employers even before completing the degree. Cranfield is conveniently situated at the very centre of the triangle of London, Cambridge and Oxford where a large number of potential employers are located.
