The Applied Bioinformatics MSc programme is informed and updated by research conducted by the Bioinformatics Research Group, one of Cranfield Health’s seven expert research activity groups. This ensures the programme’s continuing real world-relevance and industry focus, making successful students highly sought after in the employment market.
The Bioinformatics research group is dedicated to the development of computational solutions for life science applications in areas as diverse as drug discovery, food production, toxicology, analytical methods development, biomarker discovery and basic biology.
Research is concentrated in the following main areas:
• Bioinformatics for mass spectrometry-based proteomics
• Chemometrics for interpretation of chemical and metabolomic data
