About the course

In the era of evidence based medicine, the need for accurate and reliable data is paramount. In addition, global GCP and regulatory requirements demand that the collection, archiving, analysis and interpretation of clinical information are well-managed and transparent for audit. The increase in the volume of data being generated within the medical/health sector now demands trained professional personnel to organise, link and manage large complex data sets.

Cranfield University’s Clinical Information Management MSc is unique in this field. It has been designed to equip students with the balance of skills and knowledge required to manage information efficiently and effectively in the healthcare sector. The course content is relevant to clinical research practice within the public and private sector, enabling better management of study information from design to completion.

Clinical Information Management MSc is suitable for graduates from a variety of backgrounds wishing to acquire the skills and knowledge required to manage the effective acquisition, storage, analysis and interpretation of clinical data and related information within the healthcare sector.

The MSc comprises a compulsory eight taught modules followed by a group project and a four-month research project and thesis.
