Current activities

 

In recent years research activities have included:

  • Guidance and control of a spin-stabilised artillery shells
  • Modelling and simulation of a long-range ballistic missile and re-entry vehicles
  • Modelling and simulation of terminal trajectories of anti-ship missiles
  • Development of a high fidelity simulation model of a medium-range vertically-launched anti-aircraft missile
  • GPS-INS integration into a open terrain autonomous ground-based vehicle

Current research projects include :

  • Kalman filter based precision marine GPS aided INS system
  • Multi-robot environments
  • SLAM techniques using ground-based and aerial autonomous vehicles

  • Gained a first class honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bath University in 1982
