Secretary of the First Forensic Forum (F3) an organization based in the UK for practitioners within the Forensic Computing Community www.f3.org.uk
Secretary of the Digital Evidence Group (DEG) a Home Office led group for the Law Enforcement Forensic Computing Community
Member of the ACPO Guide for Computer Based Evidence Working Group
Event organisation:
- VIP awareness days for senior law enforcement officers (100 delegates (average))
- F3 2005, 2006, 2007 (300 delegates at each event)
- F3 one day training workshops (various since 2005) (100 delegates (average)).
Personal interests:
- writing short stories and poetry
- English literature
- long distance walking (founder of Fingerprints & Footsteps, charity sponsored road walk in 2005) 170 miles covered in 2006, 180 planned for 2010 www.fingerprints-footsteps.co.uk.
Background
In 2003 assisted Professor Tony Sammes in setting up the Centre for Forensic Computing at Cranfield University and remains committed to it continuing to be the centre of excellence in the UK
Previous experience:
- buyer in the children’s wear manufacturing industry
- management of hotels etc
- MoD civil servant.
