Background

Rebecca Scott completed a BA (Hons) in Archaeology at the University of Wales, Lampeter,  where she wrote a dissertation investigating a South Norfolk palimpsest. She then went on the study for an MA in Cultural Landscape Management,also at UWL, where her dissertation focussed on the creation of a GIS based community archive

After working on various museum and heritage projects; Rebecca came to Cranfield University in 2006 where she completed an MSc in Forensic Archaeology and Anthropology. Her dissertation was an experimental analysis of leather used in historical armour.


Whilst at Cranfield she has assisted on geophysical projects, excavated on a burial site at Haslar Naval Hospital, and participated in the Ploegsteert WWI excavation in Belgium.

Rebecca is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Society for Chemical Industry, and the Society of Glass Technology.

Currently, Rebecca is studying for a PhD, looking at developing novel techniques for the provenancing of glass from forensic and archaeological contexts.
