Current activities
- Lecturer in Systems Engineering having joined Cranfield University in September 2006
- Has rapidly established herself within the Systems Engineering group
Contributes to a variety of courses and activities, including :
- MSc for Systems Engineering for Defence
- DESG course
- Dependable Systems course
- MSc projects and others
- Lecturing commitments in Australia and the USA
- A pivotal role in a substantial consultancy contract in support of the UK’s Future Rapid Effects System (FRES) electronics architecture. This has included provision of advice on roles and functions, requirements capture and analysis, key project assumptions and system attributes.

Background
- Started her career as a member of the Royal Air Force where she completed over 21 years of service
- Gained experience in the engineering, maintenance and support of defence equipment
- Provided technical expertise and acted as engineering assessor for maintenance contracts and actively managed critical aspects of a multi-million pound contract
- Liaising with contractors both in the UK and abroad
- Specialising in interactions with the Middle East
- For the last three years of service she lectured propulsion technology on an Aerosystems Engineering MSc to military and civilian personnel, which was accredited by Loughborough University
- Additionally has lectured to the UK Empire Test Pilot School, United Arab Emirates students and other university seminars
- In July 2004 awarded an MSc in Aerosystems Engineering
- In January 2007 was awarded a Post Graduate Certificate in Education
