Current activities

Sara Brown administers all functions required to manage the Institute of Explosives Engineers which includes Membership, Council, Accounting, Journal and Website, Marketing and Media, Elections of Council Members and Senior Council Officers.

The Institute promotes the occupational competency and professional standing of those who work with explosives and provide consultative facilities for organisations and government departments within the explosives field.

The Institute has around 900 Members (UK and Worldwide) from 12 areas of explosives expertise and has recently been accepted by the Engineering Council as a Professional Affiliate.
