Accredited Short Courses
Cranfield University at Shrivenham is now able to offer a number of Masters level modules as Accredited Short Courses to suitably qualified applicants. Essentially this means that you would be undertaking one or more of the modules of a related Masters degree as a short course. However, once you have formally applied for and been approved for entry to this Accredited Short Course you would, within a five year period, be able to register for the relevant Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma or Masters degree and qualify for exemption from those Accredited Short Courses that you have successfully completed. In any event, successful completion of the Accredited Short Course will qualify you for the award of the credits associated with the module, which will be confirmed to you by Academic Registry in the form of an Academic Transcript.
The advantage of taking a module or modules as an Accredited Short Course is that you would not be required to commit to long periods of time away from your place of work. Most Accredited Short Courses will normally be delivered in a maximum of five days, with associated private study and subsequent assessment. Furthermore, you will be undertaking education at a Masters level and in the future, time permitting, you can enrol on the relevant Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma or Masters degree which can be completed in a shorter period of time overall, depending on the number of exemptions you have qualified for.
