Ammunition Systems and Explosives Technology Group
The Ammunition Systems and Explosives Technology Group (ASET Group) provide a focus for teaching, consultancy and research in the use of explosives for military and civil applications.
The Group also offers small arms familiarisation training and weapon assessment including ballistic testing.
Explosives courses are available covering explosives technology, explosives safety and explosives handling. Consultancy services include a wide range of explosives technology including explosives safety audits and expert witness services (explosives and small arms).
The experienced staff are able to undertake comprehensive testing and assessment of explosives and ammunition from small scale powder tests to ammunition performance.
The Group has a number of ranges both ballistic and explosive.
