Impact and Trauma Biomechanics

 

Depending on the interest demonstrated by the students and the resources available we regularly run projects on the general research areas of: accidents, bone, biomechanics, trauma, crash tests and forensic techniques.

In 2005 one of our students, John McGlinchey wrote an MSc dissertation on bone trauma effects during automotive car crashes: 

‘ To examine the possible forensic aspects of femoral shaft fracture mechanisms and architecture in car crash victims ’ (44MB)
