Student Life

Cranfield University’s Shrivenham campus shares its location with the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom where you will find a mix of cultures (military and civilian), backgrounds and nationalities all of which add to the quality of student life.
Civilian students are eligible for full use of the facilities in the Officers’ Messes where very low rates are charged on food and drink. You can also enjoy the bar, TV rooms, snooker room, gym and quiet areas.
We have an active Students’ Association which organises day and evening trips throughout the year and there are numerous clubs and societies to join from parachuting and sailing to photography and arts societies.
Within walking distance of the campus the villages of Shrivenham and Watchfield have pubs , restaurants, shops a post office and a bank with the Prince of Wales pub in Shrivenham running a popular evening quiz.
Whatever your interests, you can benefit from a wide range of social and sporting activities on the Shrivenham campus
