Academic Registry at Cranfield Defence and Security
Academic Registry at Shrivenham is part of the University Registry and as such provides a wide range of support to Cranfield Defence and Security in relation to academic administration, quality assurance and maintenance of student records.
In line with the University Registry's strategic objectives Academic Registry at Cranfield Defence and Security aims to provide an efficient, effective, value-for-money service in relation to a wide range of activities including:
- administering the admission, registration, examination and graduation matters in relation to all Shrivenham students;
- the maintenance and development of the student record system, provide student-based management information for internal planning and for submission to external agencies (HEFCE, HESA, etc);
- the maintenance and development of the university's quality assurance policies and procedures, including the University Charter, Statutes, Ordinances and Regulations, through support for the Faculty of Defence and Security Faculty Board and Sub Committees at Shrivenham;
- offering professional administrative advice and support to academic staff, particularly the Dean and Associate Deans and Course Directors;
- advising students in relation to hardship fund applications (UK students only);
- dealing in a timely and professional manner with student complaints, appeals and disciplinary cases;
- supporting overseas students;
