Mexico’s National Council of Science and Technology, CONACYT (Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología) and Cranfield University have signed a co-financing agreement to help provide financial support for postgraduate Mexican students to study at Cranfield.

Universities and Science Minister the Rt Hon David Willetts MP outlined in a speech last week the Government’s aspiration to make the UK the “best place in the world to do science”, encouraging closer ties between universities and business. Later he cited Cranfield University, with its reputation for research and innovation, and deep links with business, as the kind of institution he had in mind.
16 Jun 2011 Cranfield University honours key industry and business professionals
Cranfield University has bestowed honorary degrees on eight distinguished industry and business figures during this year’s graduation ceremonies at the campus. The Honorary Graduates have been recognised for their major influence in the sectors that Cranfield specialises in, including aerospace, automotive, defence, engineering, environment, health, management and manufacturing. Each received a Doctor of Science (DSc).
