Gold Award recognises Cranfield University/BAE Systems partnership
The Commercial Leadership Programme designed and delivered by Cranfield for BAE Systems has been awarded a prestigious BAE Systems ‘Gold Award for Commercial Achievement’ for its contribution to the company’s strategic objectives.
Of the 125 BAE Systems projects nominated for awards, 13 were presented and only two received ‘Gold Awards’ at the award ceremony which took place on 7th June at the Radisson Edwardian, Heathrow.
The collaborative Cranfield team involved in the programme’s design and delivery comprised Camilla Jonsson and Mark Johnson from the university’s School of Management, Nigel Pye from Cranfield Defense & Security and Dr Palie Smart from the School of Applied Sciences.
Developed in close collaboration with BAE Systems’ Capability Development team, The Commercial Leadership Programme was launched in Autumn 2009 for the company’s senior commercial leaders.
Professor Frank Horwitz, Director of the Cranfield School of Management said, “The programme is an excellent example of how close partnership with a client and close collaboration across the University can deliver real business impact.”
