Cranfield MSc by Research
A Cranfield MSc by Research provides an attractive development opportunity using the candidate's normal in-company work. Most of the study takes place in the workplace and with formal training provided at Cranfield University. It is a part-time Masters Programme with a normal completion time of 2 years. The candidate gains reward and recognition for their research work .The company gains from the improved motivation and performance of the candidate, supported by the experience and knowledge of academics and added insights into the generic issues involved in the research project.
Aircraft Engineering
The part-time Aircraft Engineering MSc has been developed for BAE Systems and its supply chain and comprises core lecture modules covering the fundamentals of aircraft engineering. The aim of the course is to educate engineers in a broad range of aircraft design and manufacturing subjects and provide business awareness of the aircraft design cycle. This course is available on a part-time basis over 3 years enabling a combination of study with full-time employment. It is enhanced by a three-stage programme from a postgraduate certificate to postgraduate diploma through to an MSc. The MSc is accredited by the RAeS and IMechE as meeting the 'further learning requirements' for Chartered Engineer registration.

Cost Engineering PgCert is between 1 and 3 years part-time and provides a sound, broadly-based education covering the fundamental principles of cost engineering, data management, product and project development cycle and business processes. Suitable for existing and new engineers, buyers and people with commercial backgrounds. It is also suitable for practitioners who seek recognition of their cost engineering profession.
