The BAE Systems/Cranfield Link Office is a partnership between Cranfield University and BAE Systems. The principal objectives of the Link Office are to establish and foster a broad area of contact between BAE Systems and Cranfield University to advance interaction between staff of both parties at all levels and, through these contacts, to actively develop a long term, strategic and mutually beneficial partnership founded upon the generation and transfer of world class knowledge and expertise.

The Link Office has the Enabling Agreement (ZN1314/AT2114 Amendment 3) which provides a simple and efficient way of placing any contracts, whether fully or partly funded by the company, in any field or discipline for research & technology, education & training or any other activity (such as project support, seminars, workshops etc.) without protracted negotiation of contractual terms & conditions, including those relating to intellectual property, confidentiality and publication. This can be done by means of a creating a simple Annex to be signed by an authorised Point of Contact.

As prime contractor to BAE SYSTEMS, Cranfield University has, working with other academic partners, created a suite of seven innovative online learning courses. These unique courses are multimedia, tutor-led and interactive for a high quality learning experience and are available world-wide to all employees of BAE Systems, its partners and affiliate companies.
