Based on the success of the 1st LeanPPD Industrial Workshop, Cranfield University is hosting again a one-day industrial workshop based around lean product development. The workshop will showcase the state-of-the-art methods and tools that can enable organisations to introduce and implement lean thinking in product design and development.

Ways to enhance the supply chain for Growth in UK manufacturing
A key national manufacturing event not to be missed. This free event is being held on 29th and 30th May 2012. Day one includes a tour and demonstrations of Cranfield state-of-the-art facilities. Day two includes keynote speakers and the afternoon debate.
03 Apr 2012 Cranfield a big winner in UK Space Agency funding awards
Wholly postgraduate Cranfield University has been awarded funding for two separate pico-satellite (CubeSat) studies by The UK Space Agency as part of their National Space Technology Programme (NSTP).

A £1,000 prize and a Bronze award for PhD student Alessandro Poma, was received earlier this month following a competition in the House of Commons.

Cranfield University attended Buckingham Palace on Friday 24th February 2012 to be presented by Her Majesty The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh with their ‘Diamond Jubilee’ Queen's Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education.
08 Feb 2012 Student finance agreement with Mexico
Mexico’s National Council of Science and Technology, CONACYT (Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología) and Cranfield University have signed a co-financing agreement to help provide financial support for postgraduate Mexican students to study at Cranfield.
