The Centre for International Security and Resilience (CISR) is the focal point for all Security and Resilience capabilities within Cranfield University. Our mission is to enable the development of more secure and resilient societies through the provision of high quality research, education, training, and consultancy.

The Centre consists of a unique blend of academics and practitioners who ensure that our range of products and services are of direct relevance and benefit to those involved in the development of secure and resilient societies. Our activities are primarily focused on the following areas:

    Staff at the Centre apply rigorous academic thought to practical issues. Collectively we have global reach and impact, having delivered projects in over 30 countries word wide. Each of these projects is designed to meet clearly identified requirements from either public or private institutions, and is informed by the academic research base of the Centre.
