National Manufacturing Debate - UK Manufacturing Productivity

The National Manufacturing Debate is an annual event hosted by Cranfield University. The event brings together manufacturing professionals from a range of sectors to discuss and debate current challenges in the industry, and encourage networking and collaboration across the sector to enable continued and long-term growth. Now into its fourth successful year, this FREE event will take place over two days, 20 and 21 May 2014.
- 20 May - delegates are able to take part in tours and demonstrations of Cranfield’s state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, showcasing current and future research activity
- 21 May - following a range of presentations from keynote speakers, the National Manufacturing Debate will take place.
The theme for the 2014 event is UK Manufacturing Productivity.

Cranfield University is located at the very heart of the UK – within the innovation triangle between London and the cities of Oxford and Cambridge.
Our central location provides easy access from the M1, excellent main line rail service as well as proximity to key international airports. Set in rolling countryside, Cranfield offers a rich, rural landscape complemented by thriving towns and picturesque villages.
- Road: We are just 10 minutes from Junctions 13 and 14 of the M1 motorway. There is free parking on campus.
- Rail: Milton Keynes or Bedford
- Air: London Luton (22 miles), Heathrow (50 miles) or Birmingham (70 miles).

Whether you are a registered part-time student, attending one of our short courses, or visiting the campus and would like somewhere to stay, we are pleased to offer en suite accommodation on the campus which is within easy walking distance of lecture rooms and other facilities.
Each en suite room is fully furnished including a desk and chair and wireless internet facilities. In addition, towels and tea/coffee making facilities are provided and a coin operated launderette service is available.
Meals are available in our B.L.D. restaurant situated within Mitchell Hall, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner each day.
£42.00 per night for registered part-time students, room only.
£80.00 (incl.VAT) per night for short course delegates and visitors, including breakfast.

The Cranfield Management Development Centre (CMDC) has 186 en-suite rooms all with showers and bath, tea/coffee making facilities,
