Corporate Social Responsibility & Policies
Cranfield’s mission is to create and transform world-class science, technology and management expertise into viable, practical, environmentally desirable solutions that enhance economic development and the quality of life.
Responsibility therefore sits at the heart of everything we do. We aim to achieve best practice in employee relations, workplace standards, training and development, diversity and disability as well as environmental policies for both staff and students alike.
Corporate responsibility is about ensuring that we take into account the social, community and environmental consequences of our activities.
We aim to be a good neighbour, and actively engage in a wide number of local community projects as well as national schemes such as Science Week, encouraging young minds to explore the sciences.
Carbon Management Plan
Cranfield is proud to publish its Carbon Management Plan. We have set ourselves a challenging target of reducing our carbon footprint by 50% by 2020. This is the highest target across the University sector and has been commended by the Carbon Trust as being an excellent example, particularly of the high level of support from the Vice-Chancellor and Senior Management team.
